
Celebrate writers of all ages as the winners of the Young Writer Competition and the Writers in Residence contest are announced, and author Claire Fuller reveals the winning entries in the Frome Festival Short Story Competition.
Writers in Residence is an annual local competition in which participants write a story to a given prompt, while temporarily ‘residing’ in a Frome shop or cafe.
The Young Writer Competition for writers aged 7 -18 is sponsored by author Kerry Wilkinson (an ex-Frome College student) and judged by author and UK Patron of Reading, Joffre White.
Claire Fuller, this year’s guest judge for the Frome Festival Short Story Competition is the author of six novels, including the Costa Prize-winning ‘Unsettled Ground’, with the latest, ‘Hunger and Thirst’, being published in May this year.
